Pastoral Council

Pastoral Council

The Pastoral Advisory Council of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church serves to offer advice and counsel to the Pastor in all matters relating to the good of the parish. Although the final decision in both spiritual and material matters rests with the Pastor, the Council offers its advice honestly and openly, and implements all decisions which fall within the scope of Council responsibility. The Council acts upon matters such as the coordination of parish activities, recommendations for social and spiritual activities and events, recommended facility improvements and maintenance, and discussion and recommendations on concerns and issues affecting the overall parish community.

The Council consists of the Pastor, Parochial Vicar and any other members of the clergy, a chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary, one representative from each parish standing committee, five members-at-large, one representative from the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Knights of Columbus Council, and any ex-officio members. Since the Council membership consists of clergy and representatives from almost all of the organizations within the parish and the five members-at-large, all aspects of decisions affecting the parish community are considered when making recommendations to the Pastor.

Members-at-Large

The Members-at-Large of the PAC present concerns or comments they have received from parishioners to the Council at its monthly meeting, and assist with planning several parish functions.  The members-at-large serve a maximum of two terms, with each term lasting two years.  Bulletin announcements in November solicit volunteers for the members-at-large positions becoming available that year. If you are interested in running for election to one of these positions, please contact one of the current members-at-large at the following:
