This year Fr. Meng and Fr. Searby are looking forward to offering Religious Education classes for the teens of the parish in conjunction with the Sunday Youth Nights. These seminars will explore fundamental aspects of the Catholic faith through the study of the history of the Church, and they will provide an engaging opportunity for high school students to learn and ask questions about their Faith so that they can have a deeper, more mature encounter with the Truth of the Catholic Church. The seminars will also allow the students to discuss that Truth of the Faith with one another with a focus on apologetics and being instruments of evangelization in their families, schools and communities. Seminars on the Theology of the Body of Pope John Paul II will also be offered. This “theological time bomb waiting to go off in the 21st century” will enlighten students about the meaning of our existence and the dignity of the human person made in the image and likeness of God. These classes will ultimately bring about many relevant discussions which will help the students live and love the faith in their daily lives.

“In this trying time that our country is going through we Catholics and especially we students, have a serious duty to fulfill: our self-formation. [...]

We, who by the grace of God are Catholics… must steel ourselves for the battle we shall certainly have to fight to fulfill our program and give our country, in the not too distant future, happier days and a morally healthy society, but to achieve this we need constant prayer to obtain from God that grace without which all our prayers are useless; organization and discipline to be ready for action at the right time; and finally, the sacrifice of our passion and of ourselves, because without that we cannot achieve our aim.”
